Don't know why, just felt like some new wheels, lol.

And no, I'm not dropping my car for added looks, its borderline acceptable ride quality wise already.

Yea, no drop for me, looks are still good at stock height (though I admit, it looks better dropped). I just can't handle a lowered car (and I don't want to spend the money on a coilover setup).

215/40's would be wider, correct.
They ride good. I went from the 15" Stock steel wheels to 16" Factory Performance wheels to these, and I really can't tell a ride difference between the 16's and these 17's. The 15's rode better, but not by some large margin.
