Don't know why, just felt like some new wheels, lol.

17" Enkei EVO6 wrapped in Sumitomo HTR Z II tires:

And no, I'm not dropping my car for added looks, its borderline acceptable ride quality wise already.

Those are beautiful wheels man! Good job! And lowering sucks unless you spend lots on a full coilover system, so just keep it stock (I'm doing the same with 19"s)

Thanks a lot guys.

Yea, no drop for me, looks are still good at stock height (though I admit, it looks better dropped). I just can't handle a lowered car (and I don't want to spend the money on a coilover setup).

215/40's would be wider, correct.
They ride good. I went from the 15" Stock steel wheels to 16" Factory Performance wheels to these, and I really can't tell a ride difference between the 16's and these 17's. The 15's rode better, but not by some large margin.

are u on stock suspension?? if u are that would explain why they are "borderline acceptable". cuz it sucks *****!! u could go with tokico struts and eibach pros with only 1" drop. ride quality would def go up.

215/40/17 have a wider sidewall. 40% of 215mm is larger than 40% of 205mm.

He is on stock suspension. And the ride quality won't go up if he drops it. NEVER will the ride quality go up by dropping a car.

Thumbs up

that looks like 205/45/17 but you said its 205/40/17 somehow looks really good. I am surprised you don't have a bigger gap with 40. what's the full wheel size and the offset of those rims.
