which size on 17s?

hey all,

currently have 215/40/17 tires on my 17s and need a new set on my 01 lx

gonna buy the falken ze-512s

could save a few bucks if i buy 205/40/17 vs. the 215s

other than being 3% too fast vs. 2% am i sacrificing anything else in the name of saving about $80?

thanks

4. Ride comfort
5. Wheel gap (205/40/17 looks ridiculous with no drop)

if your not dropped lower than 1", id recommend 215/45/17.

yeah i have 205s and its not a huge deal, they do look extremely thin though (sidewall) cuz they are stretched over the rim more than a 215 would be. it really doesnt make a difference tho. but... H&R sport springs dont drop much, so ide go for the 215s cuz they wont stretch over the rim as much and will make it look like the sidewall is taller to fit the wheel gap more.

he is right shouldnt be running 40 sidewall should be 45's. If you run 205's your speedo will read better though.
