a little help!
OK i just bought a set of supermesh rims from robear racing..the size is 16x7..what size tire would you get? im lowered 2 inchs..i dont rememeber what size i had on my car last year, plus different rims, but i know that i had 16x7 before and the tire would hit the inner wheel well when i would turn or hitting a bump, or just moving...and the outside of the tire was whereing away from the metal.
thanks!
thanks!
205/45/16, 45 series for a little comfort, if you like rubber bands around your wheel then get 40 series. you have to either trim the inner rear fenders, or roll them with a baseball bat. also you need a camber kit for at least the rear, saves on premature tire wear.
look inside the fender well which has a lip of about an inch. look at the sidewall of your tire where it could possibly rub the fender. now stick the bat between both, one side of the bat will rub against the tire, the other will rub against the lip of the fender. if you've never done this get with someone who has.
50 series tires are too thick in my opinion, looks stock.

well i was thinking of buying 205/45/16. just to be a lil a more safer...i got my cuz's boyfriend getting me tires..he works for a tire place..looking at the new falken drift tire, and the new cooper drift tire.
Here is a tire size calculator. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
I used this calculator to first type in the OEM tire size, then typed in the size of the new tire that I was going to use. I wouldn't go with ANYTHING that's over 2 or 3 % different than stock, or your speedo will be WAY off. I'm using 19's and I'm only about 3 miles an hour off at around 70 MPH.
