car shakes when braking . . .

you know how old cars, when you traveling above >50mph and you quickly press the brake and you feel the car shake or the steering wheel shake? well my car started doing just that and i'm getting real paranoid. i have an 01 civic w. 66,000 miles and brakes where replaced at around approx 50k.
anyone have this problem, have had this problem, and/or have known and resolved the problem? all the help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

jerseydetailer has a little shameless behaviour in the past
yup i agree..check your rotors....telling you it was done and actually doing it are 2 completely different things...on car brake lathes are usally what is used, but if you took it to small shop or a friend they generally wont have it and will have to remove the rotor to machine it...that is why most small places just replace it with a china made rotor (cheap)...if you have a micrometer or go to an auto store and see if you cant rent one, take some readings..it will be off imo

If they were replaced and not properly bedded, then there's un even transfer and its pulsing.
If they were turned or not turned (not replaced) then they're likely to be warped. Either way, replace em, or take it back to whoever did it, and search, cuz we go through this crap once a week.
