what is the majority?
I saw the stickies about it, but what do the majority of members on here have, disc or drum back brakes? would my 2001 Honda Civic LX Sedan, 7th gen, D17A1 Non-Vec motor have abs?

The car comes with drums. So the overwhelming majority of the cars have drums. its just common sense to figure that out. Not to mention the ratio of EP3s to coupes and sedans, the majority will ALWAYS be drums.

There's maybe 30 or 40 people who have done it and have said something. Its not popular because its not exactly necessary unless you find a way to nuke the drums, which can be done, but not on a public highway. Other people just do it to look cool. But to 99% of the people, there's no point, and another 1/2% think its cooler to paint the drum red so everyone knows they have drums.

I have converted my EX to rear disc, but only because I think they look better since you can see so much through my wheels.Maybe its just me but I can't feel much if any of a difference in stopping power with the rear disc.

i converted to rear discs because i got them at a price i could not refuse. I felt a HUGE difference in braking right off the bat. I must admit though, I do like the way they look compared to drums, but that wasn't my reason for doing the swap. I've learned to appreciate them more as time goes by. otherwise, only the EX (vtec) trims have abs.

only improvement i feel is when i'm going at about 30-40 mph, then i feel the bite, especially stopping and going through traffic at about 25, instant bite. on highways, nothing much.... maybe the physics of it? inertia?
