They make LESS noise. I can't say they're quiet though.

HP+ - Bad. Like don't go cruising for hot chicks because you'll scare them off bad.

HPS sound like they're a little quieter, but I'll let someone else attest to them from experience over a long time

I currently run on HPS and they are quite like stock. They have good bite once they warm a little (2-3 low speed stops are enough to warm them up). However, compared to OEM pads they produce noticebly more dust.

just be safe than sorry and get OEM pads. They only put the best in our cars suitable for our cars. Think about it. When engineers sell our car they want to make sure ppl would buy it. So they probably put the best brakes for our car: The OEM's. Hawks and others are aftermarkets so they'll always make noise. Want quietness, go OEMs!

I'm on my second set of Hawks (different models) and they've both been quite. It did squeak a little now and then. But it was for the most part quiet for me.

Axxis pads DO squeak, and I just had them installed a week and a half ago. It was pretty bad after 2 days being installed, but now the squeaks arent as bad as they once were.

The mechanic told me that performance brake pads sacrifice noise for braking power. I figured that already before he told me.

btw, I have OEM rotors with my axxis pads
