Question about wheels on ebay...
How reliable is it to buy rims on ebay?
I found a guy selling 16" motegi mr7's for 280 + 80 s&h.
Can anyone who has ever bought wheels on ebay verify whether or not this is a good deal?

To be honest, I'd just be weary of anything sold used on ebay. Its sight unseen and you really have no recourse if you don't get whats shown.
I never buy used+large items that needs to be shipped because no one likes damaged rims or cracked fiberglass thanks to shi!tty packaging.
I've bought 2 sets of rims off eBay...but both were local pick ups.
Local pick up guarantees that I have a chance to look at the product before handing over the cash.

ive bought just about everything thats on my car, off ebay. as long as you look at sellers rep, and comments about them, and make sure the auction isnt "too good to be true", your good to go
i just bought my new 18's of ebay, and i was very pleased with the transaction. bought them out of a rim dealer in florida, i believe they have a online store. just be smart, and youl be ok

I have bought two sets of wheels from individuals on e-bay. I got burned on one set (bent and could not be balanced) and the other was in awesome shape. You get lots of pics, ask all the questions you want answered, look at their feedback, check their recent transactions to see if they just bought them and determine if it is too good to be true. But you are still taking your chances.
I have only got one set of used wheels off eBay, but that was from Discount Tire Direct, so I knew they were going to be fine. No surprises when I got them. Lightly used, straight, well packaged, and free hubcentric rings.

i've posted the link to the guy i'm buying them from below.
can you tell if the ones in the link below are knockoffs? this guy's feedback is relatively high, or at least high enough to have my trust (and my money).

I got my tenzo shu 4 's off e-bay initially and they were brand new without a scratch. Someone that got them then needed some money .. 300.00$ shipped to me with tires and I was rolling
