because they suck. they arent rotor friendly at all. I had them on my car awhile back with brembo blanks and after about 1500 miles or so, I had bad vibrations when braking and found out I had more then .040" of runout on my rotors from the pads. I am not sure what the material is, I cant remember, but tirerack.com doesnt even sell them anymore because of all the complaints. I dont think you should use them, but it is up to you.

"greenstuff" turned up 115 threads. So there's no way you can complain that the information is not out there. People have repeatedly complained of them making noise, warping, scarring and hotspotting rotors to the point of uselessness. I've seen complaints posted by numerous people in the past 6 months "I searched and couldnt find it" isn't going to get you any where up the bitching post. They use so much metal in them so they handle heat that they hold it so well they never cool off.... which cooks the rotor.
Take them back, buy Hawk or Axxis.

my axxis ultimates are producing almost the same amount of dust as O.E.M. I dunno if anyone else's are doing this as well... but then again I just passed the break-in point for them....do the hawks produce much dust?

I had those pads. They use kevlar to eliminate brake dust. They do stop fairly well, but be prepared for some rotor abuse as said before.

The dust picks up as they wear. Plan on weekly washings if you want your rims to stay clean. The dust is also very corrosive to the finish.... so definitely plan on weekly cleanings.
Hawks are equally as aweful. Nothing you can do, High performance pads make a mess, its the nature of the compound, its so abrasive it eats the rotor and the rotor, little bits of the rotor and little bits of pad make a mess.

i thought hawks are supposed to be okay for rotors? I have the hawk pads and powerslot rotors. Should I just use the rotors with oem pads then? The dealer keeps telling me oem has the least dust and lasts longest. And now you're saying all brake dust is corrosive? Crap on me! What do I do?

ALL brake dust is corrosive. Thats common knowledge. Wash your wheels.
Depending on which Hawks you have, dictates the harshness. HP+ are not good to rotors. not as bad as a full race pad, but not good. OEM may have the least dust, they prolly don't last the longest, they certainly don't stop worth a ****.

So can I use oem pads with the powerslot rotors? I don't wanna ruin new rotors. My only problem now is the stock rotor warping and vibrating when I press the brakes. I think they stop well enough for me.

Don't want to ruin rotors? What the hell is that? They're disposable wear items. The whole point is to ruin them and then get new ones. It takes about a whole set of high performance pads to put a groove in the rotor surface enough that you can catch a nail on it. We're not talking about a whole lot here. The bigger issue is hot spotting or scoring the rotor face, which any pad can do.
But yes, you can use any pad with any rotor. I just choose to use the shittiest rotor I can find.

EX4Dr is an unknown quantity at this point
I'm probably the only one here who have no complaint with EBC Green Stuff pads. I have them paired with Baer Eradispeed X-drilled & slotted rotors. I also use them on my Legend. They do make a bit of scarring/grinding noise when braking hard, but they are ver effective and easy to modulate. Currently, I'm stafisfied with the Green Stuff. However, I'll probably switch to Hawks on my next set of pads though. I'm always looking out for something better in the market. From what I've been reading, Hawks seem to be getting a lot of good reviews.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you, cept brembo blanks!
Been fine so far, but I will probably change when the greens (or rotors) wear down.
