which size?

ive got 17x7 sokudo 8's.. no drop on the car.. yet.. wanna wait til i got the rims on.. which tire would be better with a future drop of about 1.5 inches

205/40/17 or 215/45/17?? I know the 215's are more expensive too.. so im kinda ruling them out alrready.. are there any performance differences in the sizes?

Use the tire calculator.
If you're worried about 10 dollars, you should have bought 15" wheels, they're half the price of 17s.
215/45 is the correct size you should have for the car. The alternative is 205/45 or 215/40
205/40 is like a rubber band, kiss your rims goodbye, not to mention they fit like **** in the wheel wells.
