17-19 switch

i have 17" rims with 205/40/17 tires, but they look kind of small and i dont really want bigger tires. im finding some pretty cheap 19's on ebay, so i was wondering if i had the same pro as i do on the 17s, would there be any problem with the tires rubbing the wheel well? thats really the only thing im concerned about

thinking about motegi ff7's or riax secas

I have 18's and I am thinking of going to 17"s because they feel to big and heavy, I would never go w/ 19"s, to big in my opinion.

ive gone from 17s to 19s with no problems/issues

in looking at your ride, id say that you need to drop it first and then look at how it looks/sits...then decide on whether you want to upgrade to larger wheels

i would also suggest going to a 215/40-17 tire if you stick with the 17s

i cant drop it because the drivers side rear lower strut bolt wont come out, its fused with the bushing or vice versa. anyway, its a condition i have heard to be common with civics and integras. so wheel gap cant be really be dealt with by dropping, and larger wheels seem the only option

Getting larger wheels won't fill out the wheelwell the way you think it will. If anything it'll exaggerate the gap even more, and your car will look lifted. Actually it WILL sit higher, because the smallest tolerable tire size for 19s (that won't totally throw off your speedo and odo) is 215-35-19, still larger than stock.

Get the bolt drilled out, then drop it. IMO it will look better no matter what wheel size you are running.
