Hawk HPS Pads need to be replaced, but with what??

I have Powerslot rotors on the front right now and am using Hawk HPS pads. They are pretty good, but when I had Stillen Metal Matrix pads the bite and hold was much better and they took heat better as well. The Hawks seem to fade to fast.

I have heard that EBC Green Stuff pads are really good once warmed up. Here is my driving situation. I am a sales rep so I drive on the highway everyday, also in my territory there is a lot of stop and go so I need something that can take heat once warmed up and wont lose its bite. Any ideas?

I think HPS are good *** pads. Have had them on my car for over a year now and they still have alot of material left. Dont go with EBC pads, they suck bad and arent rotor friendly.

They are good pads better than stock but not what I used to have with my Stillen's. I think the Stillens will be on there next.

You don't want green stuff.
If you want to step up, Axxis ultimates have given me mixed success (one set disintegrated on the track) and I'm fairly happy with the HP+.
When you step up to carbon ceramics plan on 2 things, dust and noise. Either deal with it and take the stopping power, or stick to something like HPS or Metalmasters. If you have $80 to spend on pads, Cobalt Friction GT Sports are simply awesome.

I don't know why eveyone avoids EBC Green Stuff. I have had them for the last 30K miles and they're serving me well in spirited street use. I've had no isuue with them and they are quiet even when cold. It may not be the right pads for track use though, because the temperature range is a bit low for it, but it's perfect for street use. Is my experience unique?

Well I have heard that Green Stuff are good pads if you heat them up fast like in the first few minutes of driving. I do a lot of braking so they get used.

Because a lot of people have used them for normal street driving and had the pads disintegrate on them, not to mention the high copper content makes them loud and causes them to retain heat, which warps brake rotors.

I had them and they made my wheels shake slowing down at high speeds. Others have had the same problem. As soon I replaced them with Axxis Ult. i didn't have the problem anymore and I didn't resurface my rotors either so they aren't warped.

exact same thing I had with the green stuff. The rotors were toast after several thousand miles.
