Balance or Alignment?

I just got some new 17's about 3 weeks ago and ever since then i have a lot of vibration at high speed along with it now pulls to the right all the time. The high speed problem makes me think balance, but the pulling make me thing alignment. I do have hub centering rings on. Any ideas? Thanks

it's both, happened to me when i first had my rims, i took it back to the rim dealer and they rebalanced it, then took the car to get aligned and rode perfect.

yeah i know, thats what makes me think its a combination. its strange that it pulls more at highway speeds than it does below 40. It pulls really hard under hard breaking and acceleration.

make sure you get it balanced right. I got mine balanced several times before i took it to a real performance shop instead of firestone or similar places. The place I took mine to said that the place i bought my rims from, wheelsnext.com, did balance it. But they only balanced it externally or something like that. The rims have to be balanced in two places, on the outer and inner part. I do not know what he meant, but no more vibrations for me.

A couple things to check on... Make sure the air pressure is good, somewhere from 28-36psi and even from side to side. Next on the pull problem the first thing i would do is swap the 2 frt tires from side to side EVEN if they are directional and test drive it again to see if the pull is still there. Next when the car is jacked up to swap the tires spin them fast by hand and look to see if you can see any obviously out of roundness. This can cause both the pull and the vibration. Another real obviosu thing to check is make sure the tires are all the same size Seen that more then one time Just guessing id say #1 is the tires are just plain out of balance causing the vibration. #2the pull could be a radial pull( the tire its self is causing the pull, this is found out by the swapping side to side to see if it pulls the other way #3 the pulling under acceleration and braking ? did it do this before or no?

ok, ill check all those things. It didnt do this before. I just had the stock 03 ex wheels and firestones. As soon as i put these on it started, which i wouldnt think new rims would hurt my alignment. I kinda figure the vibration is a balance issue. thanks.

That or get a new tire/tires or rotate them to the back of the car
