lightweight 15s?
okay I like the rims I have now, but I might think of getting new ones if they are light (10-12lbs) and 15 inch still. Any suggestions?

i'm going for weight reduction. So I would have to get 15x6 like the si rims to use the current tires right?
yes I'm on budget. Maybe $500 max? Are ssr comps expensive? I'm leanin towards those or the heliums.

i don't like rota slips. Well thanks everyone. I'll think about it but if I do get some, prolly gonna be heliums in silver.
For my non-7thgencivic, I am pondering some used SSR comps, 15x6, but the offset is like 28mm
The lug holes are enlarged 4-5mm to accomodate a shank style lugnut, so that bugs me kinda also. The owner used some spacers, so the shank style lugnuts were used to get more wheel stud thread coverage.
Not a bad deal being $600 though

Forget SSR Comps. They're light, but they're fragile as hell. I've heard of so many people smashing SSR rims its not funny.
For $500 bucks....
Any Rota
Most Konigs
Team Dynamics Pro Race 1 or Pro Race 2
Kosei K1
Kosei K1 TS
Esses Speedmasters (there's 2 versions, one is 15x7 with a 31 offset, you don't want those for street driving, they make a 6.5 with a 38)
5Zigen FNO1RC (maybe a little more than 500)
There's a lot more too, thats just whats in my mind.
You can use tires off a 15x6 on a 15x7 without issue. It'll just balloon out less.

A 25-50% reduction in the mass of your rims will no doubt improve your acceleration and braking. But, in real world terms, how much of a performance difference are we talking about?
