you know, I have the same exact problem. I have about 45% pad material left and the rotors are good, but stopping they grind and shift around. From what I know and have been told, the pads tend to shift around causing this. Lately it has been happening alot for me, so I will just hit the brakes hard several times to make it go away.

Brakes unfortunately make noise by design. Squeeks and even sometimes a faint grinding sound can be heard do to .... tempature outside, humidity, dust, driving habbits, driving conditions........................................ .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ................. , and when the moons of jupiter align just right. Getting rid of these noises can be difficult if not impossible.

It could also be the shims(small metal bracket). Maybe it slip or moved ever so slightly to cause contact with the rotor.
just trying to help out.

yeah i dont know im just goin to take it in to see what the dealership says they will prolly tell me the exact same thing as one of u guys have said it might be the grease thing i wash my car alot and spay off the brake dust with some tire stuff every now and then which is pretty much a degreaser that might have gotten on the backside of the break pads but thanks for the help will see monday after i take it in
so when i went to the dealership and had them look at my brakes i had one brake pad that was pretty worn down and the others where perfectly fine and they told me ther was no problem with them wearing and everything was working fine
i would think that if they were fine wouldnt all the pads wear evenly
3 pads good 1 pad bad that doesnt sound right not even wearing

Yup, either sticking caliper or sticking caliper slides.
