Noob question from me =)

Hey guys. I don't visit this subforum that much but I know you all know your stuff so I have a question. I'm getting some new koseis, but they only come in silver. I'm looking to make them gunmetal, so I'm wondering what is the most cost effective, yet durable way of doing this. I mean, is powdercoating really that great? Just wondering... I don't know much about this stuff =*(

I would suggest finding another wheel you like in gunmetal. Big dollars for a quality refinish on the wheels, not worth going that route IMO.

If that's what you want to do... I'd definatly recommend powdercoating them. It's the most durable finish.

If you are getting a great deal on the wheels, YES, have them powdercoated. Also, if you HAVE to have those specific wheels, by all means, have them powdercoated.

But, I think the point is that there are SOOO many wheel manufacturers that make almost identical styles, you can almost definitely find something similar that will come in the gunmetal color. Might as well get the similar wheels in gunmetal, and put your $400 into some coilovers and strut bars...
