215/40/17 or 205/45/17

hey whats up i have 205/40/17 right now and i might need tires in a few months and i was wondering whats everyones opinions on which of the 2 are better? i'm on neuspeed race (front 2.25 rear 2.0) the reason why i am concidering the 215/40s is because sometimes like to take aggressive turns and maybe it would be better handling with the 215 width? but i think i might like the 205/45 better for the ride quality. this weekend i hit a pot pole pretty hard and it made me think for getting the 45s. is 45s that much of a ride difference then the 40s? o yah can you guys post pics of these tire sizes on the vic if you have any? i tired doing a quick search and i couldnt find that much pics. this question probably has been asked alot of times and i am sorry if it annyos you guys, but i wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with BOTH these tire sizes before and what you have to say about the 2

Vantage should not be trusted
totally get the 215, u wont sacrifice tooo much on ride quality but ull get alot better handling, from the stiffer( cause its smaller) sidewall, and extra 10mm width.

^i second that. i had 215/45/17 with a 1.8" drop and it would rub on u-turns and driving over certain size dips.

i personally would go with 205/45/17 because im daily driving and could care less for cornering. and i would be able to kill wheel gap easier =D

Since he wants cornering, he should without a doubt go with the wider tire with what be a slightly stiffer sidewall. Therefore, 215/40/17.

I've had both and prefer 215/40/17...good luck with your decision.
