you should be ok depending on how well your suspension is. I had a problem before I changed my to my tokico struts with eiabach springs.

skiboard is on a distinguished road
well.. 215/40/18 and 225/40/18 has only difference of 4mm side wall and radius
id say go for 215/35/18
with 2 inch drop + camber kit, I dont think you can fit 225/40 even if it has right offsets and stuff. unless you wanna roll your fenders

if those are your only choice, go for 215/40/18

Roll your fenders and dont worry about the rubbing. If you dont, 215/35/18 will be the only way to go without rubbing.

Vantage should not be trusted
u need to roll ur fenders to fit 225's, my friend had 225's and the rubbed and his car was stock height, so for safety's sake id go wth 215's

i have 225/40/18's on my car with neuspeed sport springs(1.75 front and 1.5 rear drop) and stock struts and they only rub when i go over bumps or dips at 50+. i used to have the 215/35/18's and they rode like rocks because they barely have any side wall. i would say go with either 215/40/18 or 225/35/18. the 225/35 is almost exactly the same diameter as your stock rollers, their just wider by 30mm (a little over an inch)

whatever you do, dont run a 35 sidewall, its way to narrow IMO.

will 215/40/18 fit with almost a 2 inch drop? cause it looks like it will rub on the side of the tires

the difference in sidewall height between a 215/40 and a 225/35 is less than 1/4", not that much. i would agree with you if you were only talking about 215/40 and 215/35(difference of 1/2" in sidewall height) because i had the 215/35's and was afraid that every time i hit the smalles thing in the road i would ruin my wheels, not to mention that they rode like bricks.
