17 or 18?

I just got a 2001 civic coupe and I'm lookin for rims for it. 17's or 18's is my question. Has anyone got 17's and wished they got 18's or on the other hand got 18's and said they look to big? Any input would be helpful. Thanks a lot.

I used to have 17''s and dropped on H&R's
It looks good, but as you said, " I wish I had 18's" lol even 19s

right now i'm riding on 17's (front) 18's rear cuz one of the tire in 18's blew, so until i replace it, i'm gonna ride like this for awhile ...

I have 18z, wish I had gone with 19z. Bigger is better unless you are going to autocross or race in any way shape or form. But yeah man, 18z take up the wheel well nice with a good drop, 19z completely fill up the gap.

I have 18s. Sometimes, I wish i had 19s.
Keep in mind 18s are usually heavier so it will hurt performance a tad bit. If you're going for looks, get 18s over 17s

I've had both 16s, 17s, and 18s...I like the look of 18's and the comfort, ride quality of the 16's. 17's for a bit of both........Im too scared to go with 19's.

^^^ dosen't both usually mean 2 things not 3???? j/p i have 18's and i wish i had gone with 19's. it really depends on what you're looking to do with your car. if you want to race i'd say go with 16's or 17's, but if your in to looks go with 18's or 19's. just keep in mind that bigger wheels are heavier and have a much greater rolling mass and will hurt your cars performance especially the braking

I had 17's, and when I lowered it, I went to 18's and they look much better IMO.

19" would the best if you want to go for looks. It just look so perfect on our cars in my opinion but if where you live is like here in NYC, I wouldn't even want to go bigger than 16". Performance wise, anything bigger than 16" isn't good in my opinon.

18" for sure on a civic. Especially the 7th gens. I kick myself for 17's after 2 years selling them going back to stock, doubt I will own rims again on it.
