Hubcentric Rings from previous gen civics

I have wheels from an EG civic that have Gorilla Hubcentric Rings already installed (Or at least I think they're hubcentric rings, they seem to be partially made out of an abs plastic??). But I experience sudden light pulls randomly (to either the left of the right) whenever I go over a slight bump on the roads. It's not like a misalignment where the pull is constant.

I'm curious as if this is attributed to the hubcentric rings inner diameter not matching the 7th gen civic hub (ie. 1.7EL)?? As well, I'm assuming that the wheels are balanced since the wheel weights are all present, but I have yet to have them checked.

I have removed the wheels from my car since I don't want to drive with this kind of uncertain steering and it suddenly started snowing again (so the winters have to go back on).

Any one have any insight on what the problem could be?

I don't think the hubcentric rings are part of the problem, unless they are not allowing the wheel to be flush with the mounting surface.

i'm experiencing the same thing but I dont have any hubcentric rings.. I think one reason is cuz of the wider width of the tire and also I believe the tires have pretty good grip so little bumps in the road may move ur steering wheel? I dunno.. I'm gonna go get them rebalanced and see if that changed anything... good luck!

yeah i'll probably get them rebalanced and buy new hubcentric rings.

I've read that other people experience "shaking"... do they experience actual shaking of the wheel? Or is it a similar case to what I'm experienced as stated above?

The shaking I had was through the steering wheel. I could see a slight shake in the steering wheel also.

From what you mention, it sounds like "Bump Steer".
