New Brakes Again

About 7 months ago I came here to ask for advice on brake pads and rotors. All of your guys, especially zzorz(sorry if I mispelled) and boilermaker, helped me out tremendously.

I am back this time with another issue. I bought, at the time, the axxis ultimate and brembo blanks. Within 2 months of having them I warped them and couldn't get brembo to give me a new set(to me that doesn't really matter). I am back this time because I need new pads and rotors. I am curious to know if I should once again get the blanks and the axxis or should I try something else?

I am a harsh when it comes to brakes. I need something that can handle intensive braking at high speeds. I don't do autocrossing but need my brakes to perform the same.

Should I consider slotted or drilled from brembo?

Should I consider another pad?

or should I go with the same set up I have now?

All answers are greatly appreciated.

I would have to say that theres a 99% chance the rotors arnt actually warped. But rather what you are identifying as Warpage, is really just an uneven buildup of pad meterial on the rotors surface. So you most likely dont need new rotors, but to simply need have them machined (To remove the pad meterial). Supprisingly, its actually VERY hard to warp a rotor.

So, I'd say Get the rotors "turned" and pick up another set of Ultimates. Be sure to bed them properly!!!

Question, You wore out a set of Axxis ultimates in 2 months?

well it's been about 8,000 miles of having the ultimates on. I drive a lot on the highway and brake hard.

Resurface the rotors at a shop and get some pads that are less abrasive on the rotors. I have PBR pads on stock rotors and they seem to chew threw the stock rotors. However, they dont vibrate when braking - you have to be sure to break your pads in evenly. Most often, its simply accelerating to 40 mph then slowly, not harsh, braking til 10 mph, then back to 40 mph; do that for about a half a mile. If need be, let the brakes cool, then do it once more. It should wear in the pads evenly.
