Help needed on Spoon Rims
I'm in an argument with this guy who said he's got Spoon rims on his car (I haven't seen the car and want to prove him wrong before asking for pics.) He first said he had two sets of rims - a show set and a racing set. He talked all about his show rims, but just said that his racing said were "4lb Spoon rims." I called him out on it and now he says they're 4.6lb carbon alloy rims. Does Spoon even make a rim that fits this description? If so, what's the model/price?
Smuggling bananas and mexicans all for one low price...

Couple of things regarding Spoon wheels...
1. the SW388's arnt that light ( 15X6.5's are 8.6 LBS each)
2. They are too narrow. (15X6.5...)
Personally they arnt worth the $$$.... Your better of performance wise by running a wider wheel... Infact handling wise... your better off running a wider wheel even if its heavier.

I'm not looking to buy new rims at all. I'm just curious as to whether or not this guy is full of BS because I can't find anything that says Spoon makes a 4.7lb/wheel carbon alloy rim.
Thanks for the weight on the SW388 weight though, Boiler.

Well you meant ZZYZX, but spoon doesn't make a carbon alloy rim. The Rim is forged alumina shot. Its actually powder to begin with. Funny thing is they aren't JDM. They're made by Desmond, and they're made in Russia.
Want wider spoonies.... buy Regamaster EVOs. Same exact rim, just not in ugly flat black, available in many sizes. But I think they discontinued them, so suck them up fast.

lol. Whoops. I looked at the avatar and thought it was you. Sorry about that, ZZYZX. I'd never seen a Spoon alloy rim, and the weight on it, too, made me think he was full of BS. Rightfully thanks to you this time.
