what is the relation of these companys??
I saw a thread about the guy with airbags installed on his car and really like his rims, because they really went with the car. i want the same rims as he has so i asked him what they were and he said he got them at big o tires and that they are mugen racing.
i searched and didn't find any mugen racing wheels. Also, i don't have a big o tire within 500 miles of me. so i searched ebay and saw rims that looked like them, so i clicked on them and they are the same ones but were called "sport max racing 925's" and they would only be $440 shipped for 17's.
i later find a wheel book my dad got when he purchased some wheels/tires for his trans am and looked through it and found some that were identical, except they were "icw racing 925's"?? i look at some wheel sites it it seems that primax, icw racing, sport max racing are the same company. but the icw wheels seem to be more expensive.
i figured maybe i could get them for around $450 local at a american tire distributor retailer because i would not be paying $100 for shipping. but now i don't know. i was about to purchase the sport max on ebay but now that i have found different ones i didn't and now i am thinking about 18's.
if anyone has any insight or input on this please post. also if you have any pics of these on your car.
Thanks,
Chris

i doubt they were mugen racing if he got them from big o tires.
its quite possible that primax, icw and sport max all use the same wheels but to me they're all crap. I know katana uses the same wheels as diablo. As with everything else in the world, they are just branded differently. If not branded differently, they're just replica's of one another(how rota wheels look the same as spoon/mugen except 1/3 of the price cheaper).

well, i have decide to get the icw 925cb rims in 18's. my local shop can get them for me for $615 including tuner lugs, valve stems, etc. so since the 17's are going to be $460 shipped it isn't too bad. i figure 615-30 fot the lugs=585-35 tax=550, so in reality i am only paying like 100 more to get local, i think it is worth it
