Wider Rims

Do any of you rim experts have any suggestions as to a new set of rims I should get. After my accident, all my rims got trashed. So now I'm getting my widebody pulled out wider. To have the flow mesh better, I need to get wider rims. I'm looking for something wider in the rear and with a larger lip. I know Axis has the mods with the maxis lip, but I'm actually looking for something that's actually wider, not just a larger rear lip. I'm also looking for it in 18s. Let me know what you guys think.

FYI, I have the candy silver marble widebodied civic. So I'm not looking for anything in gunmetal cause it makes the overall look of the car too dark. No chrome either. Something with a polish lip is a must. ha ha. Thanks ahead of time for your suggestions.

The accident messed my car up pretty bad. I damaged the rear right side and it impacted so bad that the widebody seperated in the rear. and there's scratches all over the car. Pretty much, my car slid off a transport trailor as my jeep that was towing it flipped into a ravine. It could have been a lot worse, but luckly it wasn't. It did suffer about 9000 of damage though. All exterior body work.

no way....why's that? I usd to have 7.5 with 40mm spacers on and it was fine. It still wasn't enough to bring the rim out to flush with my body though. I'm looking for something like 8.5 or 9.5 in the rear. and 7.5 or 8 would be good for the front.

but he's gonna have extra wide body, so a really low offset is gonna be needed. your best bet would be to look at other "high end" import forums and get a feel for what rims you want. then buy them for 4 lug.

just a suggestion.

Tim, take a look at some 5zigen Pro Racer GN or FN01R-C cuz they make some pretty wide 4 lug wheels. Lots of offsets as well so you could go with like a +35 or so offset and get yourself 7 more mm. Um . . . . Work Wheels, Weds Sport. Maybe Racing Hart CPF-Tune (nice and shiny black coat finish?) Thats what I got off the top of my head for you.

Any modular wheel can be ordered in any width, bolt pattern and offset combo. Volk will custom make just about anything as long as its not rediculous. (if you want an 18x9 GT series wheel with a 4x100 pattern, the've got an 18x9 Hoop and a 4x100 face. Then its just a matter of getting your offset right, which is just machining time). So it can be done. Someone got 19x8s on the car. I don't know who. Honestly, its pretty stupid to use staggered wheels on a FWD car. It'll mess the handling up big time. I'd leave the widths the same, and either change the offset or change the lip width, leaving the offset the same and just folding the spokes in.

I have a feeling that it would just be for show that he would put them on. He used to roll with the spacers to even out the wheels and body for shows only.

Yeah...I'm show only....I can't let the vic be my daily cause the risk of having anything mess up on it, i.e. the paint, the interior, etc., would be killer. And also, it's too attention grabbing, so I'd be getting **** for it left and right.

it's no fun when you land upside down with your hand pinned between the steering wheel and the front windshield. While the front windshield is being pushed in by the ground. All at the same time as you hang upside down with your neck about to break from the froce of catching air and slamming upside down. Not fun at all. ha ha
