Going all the way to 19!!!!
I'm looking for opinions on going all the way to putting 19s on my 04 Coupe. I've priced a set of Icon Hyper Silver 19X7 rims (4X100, 42mm offset) with Pirelli P-Zero Neros 215/35R19 mounted for around $2K. It looks like a good deal but I'm concerned about rubbing. This is a stock ride. The tire size is good with less than a 2% diameter difference to the stock 185/65R15. Any advice out there. Also I've heard the Neros are real sticky and reduce mileage by 10-20%.
Cheers!
Cheers!

you wont rub with 19's and stock suspension, or shouldnt at least, depending on your tire size. however, i'm not a big fan of 19's on our cars, i think they kinda look ridiculous...too big in my opinion. if i were you i'd get 18's...in doing so you'll also save a lot of money.
I have 19's on my 03 ex with 215/35/19. Thats the only tire size that i was told would fit without any rubbing. My advice to you is, get a camber kit! Just to let you know, the ride is horrible and you will loose exceleration.
I had 19" Giovanna Kobe's on my car with 215/35-19 Perelli P7000 tires dropped with H & R springs and SPC camber kit and the ride was great. I am selling them if you are interested, my price would be significantly less than 2k and the miles is are about 5k-5500. Pictures are in my members ride.

btw i had neros the week they came out and their aMAZING they ride real smooth and quiet and good traction...u wont get owrse gas mileage cause nero's loss of gas mileage is from increase in rotational mass needing more torque to rotate..
btw owens76 when did u buy ur wheels.. cause obviously u dont drive much at all they stopped selling p7000 long time ago because pirelli took em off the market cause of some problems.. that musta been like over a year ago.. so uve driven 5500 miles in1 year?

Nero's are great rubber... they ride super quite and with the tread design not being directional they actually handle great too. I would recomend them to anyone looking to buy tires but I also like Pirelli tires over most brands..

u dont need Z rated tires... people say ooooh and ahhhhhh but in the long run.. zrated wear faster... so its just dumb... if it were up to me and they made it id buy H rated 18/19 tires theyd last liek 30k miles

I think I'm the only one here using Toyo Proxes (215/35/19) with 19s so here is my input.
The tire is a little thick but the ride is very smooth and quiet. I definatly recommend them.

i am dropped 3.5F ad 3.25R on 19" w/ thick 215/35/19 neogens on em(tires shape differ from brand to brand)
and i dont rub at all.. i would reccomend a nice coilover system tho.. i.e. B&G/tein/etc.
oem shocks allow for alot of movement===rubbing

If you dont really care about performance then definatly go with 19s.
There are a couple of things you gotta sacrifice with 19s like driving a lot more carefully, brakes wearing faster, worse gas mileage, little loss of acceleration........ but I think its worth it for the look, for me at least.

haha alright thanks fellas....now i gotta question for ya, although this isnt my thread, im taking advantage of it...lol, anyway.....i dont wanna be copying anyone but the two sets of wheels im looking at are either the 19" RH C5's, or the G-Racing Seki's (hypersilver) which are basically like the Rev Model 2's, and a little cheaper, BUT i'm not sure if the Seki's come in 19's.....any help ? ?
