205/50-17
215/40-17

Rep Power: 277 215/40 17 is good for cornering but bad for daily driving
205/45 17 is good for daily driving but not as great as the 215 for cornering (u wont notice the difference)
if u are lowered more that 1.5 inch i wouldn't recommend 215/45 17 cause might scrub on bigger bumps and heavy cornering.

Rep Power: 244 yea thats what someone said, but then again if u buy the 205 and u lowered, it will be like u didnt really lower, the tire gap will still be there. see what i mean?

Rep Power: 400 215/45 does not rub.
Finger and a half front and back, Spec camber in the rear and I don't have any issues, even with a low offset wheel.

Rep Power: 252 ^i second that.
i have 215/45/17 and dropped on coilovers. front set around 1.8", rear set at 1.7"ish. the rears rub BUT that was because my rear camber was set perfectly straight to preserve camber wear. so i had the choice to either roll the fenders or adjust the rear camber kit so it sits a little negative. the idiot i am, i tried rolling rear fenders and failed =( so i had no option but to give the rear camber negative. lol hope that helps.
also, just because you have a lot of wheel gap doesnt mean your car isnt low. my buddy with his stock rx7 is low as my car when its dropped 2" all around on fat tires 195/60/15. and thats me having no wheel gap all around. my frame sits nearly the same level as the rx7

Rep Power: 327 If you want a low profile look, the 205/40 will be the best. If you want the smooth ride, go 205/45. I wouldnt suggest a 215 on anything but a 7.5" wide wheel unless you are auto-xing or anything strictly handling.

Edit: 215/40 on a 17"x7" wheel.
