plz help me with tires

am planning on putting 18's on my civic
tire size is 225/40/18

i have allwaz had a problem with low profile tires....
the tires swell from the sides .. any idea y is this???
i have been running 215/45/17's so far and had problems with every tire i ever changed ..

this time i am planning on putting 18's but would want to take any risk since the tires are really expensive!.

air pressure in my tires are 24 ps i think. (or mayb psi)

and the road where i live have really big potholes everywhere

VTECTypeR is an unknown quantity at this point
If you have really big potholes everywhere maybe you shouldnt get 18's. And also you should put about 32 psi in your tires not 24.

the problem is ur running too low of a pressure in ur tires i have 215/45/17 running about 35 psi and their fine hit many pot holes w/ no problems (not aiming 4 them they just appear). try increasing the air pressure, 24 psi dang the stock wheels call 4 at least 30 psi. ur having trouble w/ 17 and u wanta go bigger hhhhmmmmmm i guess that the american way bigger is better

I dunno guys. kkk's a legit name. It's an organization name, just like Walmart or McDonalds and I bet most members would not object to a member having a name like those 2. Its not as aggressive/offensive a name like "FordFocusSucks" (sorry for pointing you out guy, i got no beef).

...as long as he doesn't put "black people and minorities suck" in his signature or something. This site's had its share of bigots

As for tires.. I run meaty 225/40s cause of the road quality around my area. I still got pressure bubble from a pothole doing 45...
I had 215/35s on my old 17" rims and bent the hell outta one of them one day. Which is why I went to 225/40
