How do hub centric rings fit

I have Motegi's on my car and I remember that the shop that balanced my wheels said that the hub centric rings i bought didnt fit the Motegi's. I swear I measured the outter at 73mm and i know the inside it approx 56.1. My question is, how snuggly are the hub centric rings suppose to fit into the rim? I mean mines kiinda loose, I can stick my finger into the center and immedialtly lift out the ring...does that mean i messed up the size?

loose is bad... the hub centering rings are there to eliminate some vibrations so having them loose defeats that purpose. When I put my rings on, it can be moved around very little, maybe like 1mm or less.

They should fit pretty snug into the centerbore. If you can wiggle it A LOT then its not the right size, but don't expect the fit to be so good that you have to pound the ring in.

hub rings arent really that necessary but to me, it sounds like you got the wrong set, sorry to hear. their are so many sizes they make those items in. i have some but they came with the wheels that i bought. but i can measure and take pics with the measure tape aside it if your seriously interested.
the ones i have fit snug and right onto the centerbore.. no wiggle at all and fits perfect.
