Tire rub
Tire rub
I was wondering, my friend has some 18's he wants to sell me, but they have 215/35 18 nittos on them. He said on his 4 dr. sedan that they rubbed in the back cause he has springs that dropped it like 2.7. I have the neuspeed sports that claim 1.8, but they seem a little lower than that. So does anyone have the same suspension set up with the same size tires that will let me know if they rub anywhere.
by the way they are silver Konig Verdicts, do you think those look good on a 04 silver coupe.

215/35/18 tires are about the right size for your car, they're only 1.3% bigger than stock, so there shouldn't be issues there unless you're really slammed or the offset is way off the 40-45 range. My rear was slammed last year past 2", and I had 215/55/16 winter rubber on there, didn't rub.
Silver rims will always look OK on a silver car. The current trend (which I like) however has been to add a little more contrast by using black or gunmetal rims on a silver car.

Well itskalvin, my friend did it to his accord when he lowered it too much...it begun rubbing on his inner fender so he ends up cutting it out to stop it from rubbing. Only major downside of it is if the tires get wet or muddy, it smacks all of that dirt and everything into the engine bay.
I am not sure why my wheels rub but they do. I have 215/45/R17's and the right front strut tower rubs a little when I go over big speed bumbs and when I turn the wheels all of way, the front tires rub on the sub frame. I have been considering getting 40's instead of 45's.

I run 215/45-17's for the street and the only time I rub is when I'm at full lock turning hard...
Setup:
Eibach Sportlines on Konis...
when i race I never rub either... But then I'm on 205/50-15's (that actually measure out to about 218-220)
