need new tires, need feedback
need to get a set of new tires for the new car. the stock rims are 14" and not many options available in that size (185/60/14)
These are not for racing, they are for daily driving. These will be used in the winter, so they need to be able to handle snow and wet roads. However, just because they are all-season tires i still dont want to sacrafice driving performance. I want a somewhat stiff sidewall so that cornering is tight and responce is good in turns. i dont really care about the noise, my radio is usually loud enough to drown anything out. haha
these are the choices i narrowed down to, looking for feedback from anyone who has had any of these. these are listed in order of current preference based on what ive read so far.
BFGoodrich Traction T/A H
Falken Ziex ZE-512
Yokohama Avid H4s
thanks.

My girlfriend has Traction T/A's(205/55VR15) on her civic. They are reasonable in price, have a good warranty and are very quiet. The cons are that they are VERY heavy. One of the heaviest tires I've ever seen. But I didn't notice anything different as a result of that. I mean the car wasn't slugish and there was no mileage lost. Also they don't balance too great. I had to match mount one tire for about 20min to get a decent balance. Overall though, I can't complain (got them for free
)but I guess I would have bought them. I've heard good things about H4's.

ok im telling you now the best OE replacement ive ever used in snow are Michelin x-ice tires or x-radials, quiet responsive and great in snow and rain, just not too cheap, if your strapped on cash, falken ziex is the way to go, but the michelins r better.

falken ze-512 all the way. I have them and love them. a bit noisy on the freeway, but they perform like a $100 tire for only about $40 a tire, and they are rated as some of the best tires.
