wont be flush with the rim, the sidewall sticks out a little bit to protect the lip on your rim. awesome tires i have them on my 16" ssr competetions.

i would like to know how they perform more than how they look. hows the sidewall flex? do they grip well on wet/dry/light snow? i drive hard and i want to feel confident that my tires will hold up.

They Like most all season tires have fairly soft sidewalls. When I had mine, they performed well when it was wet out, and they were actually pretty good when it was dry out. (Ran them for half a season Of autocross, before I got my Azenis).

I have them. You can see pics in my ride. They are so much better than stock, and if you order from vulcantire.com you can get them for like $204 shipped.

I had a set of Ziex 512's on my Focus before I bought my civic. They were 16's in 205/50/16 size. They were very good at handling. Just a shame I never got a chance to autocross on them. Wet traction is not that good, and they are such a soft tire that they will be bald in about 20-30 thousand miles.

Are you confusing the 512 with The Azenis RT-215?

Ziex 512 = Allseason tire and looks like this

Personally I liked these tires for Daily driving, and i would have purchaced them again if I didnt want something that could handle light snow. (Mine lasted 40,000 Miles too...)

Azenis RT-215 = Maximum traction Summer tire, that has more incommon with True race tires then a "normal" street tire.

I autocross on these exclusivly, amazing tires when its dry out, extreamly stiff sidewall. but they Hate puddles. (Hydroplane city). Daily driven, you could probably get 15,000 miles out of them.... autocross... I can destroy a set in 5 hours.

:
so by what youre saying, the ziex 512's would not handle snow well? cause thats my biggest fear. i had hankook ventus HRII H405 tires on my civic, and it wasnt bad at all for even all-season driving (the tires are summer high-perf. i think)...but when we got snow and i live on an incline street, well...lets just say getting off my street was a problem. id rather not go through that again.

however, looking at the tread pattern, the ziex look like theyd be able to handle snow better than the hankooks...

these are the hankooks BTW...great summer tires!

Well I got Continental ContiExtremeContacts right now as my Daily driven tires... They handle snow better then the 512, and they have just as much grip when its dry out... I really dont have many complanits about them, except they arnt Azenis... You may want to check them out
