EBC to Axxis Review

Well I have had my axxis pads on for a few months now after replacing my shitty *** EBCs with them. Well I could not be more please. They still shake a little at high speeds but I could not get my rotors resurfaced. They stop really quickly and keep grabbing the more you push. My rotors also don't have scorch marks on them anymore like they had with the EBCs. I get some slight squeeks at very slow speeds, but nothing horrendous. If your radio is on, you won't even hear it. The worse thing is the dust. I have had my 15s on for a little over a month and they look gunmetal compared to the rears!

I highly recommend these pads over the EBCs!

Thats great you like AXXIS, but your kinda comparing apples to oranges. EBC are a high friction pad made for hard stopping, and AXXIS are a made to be a more streetable pad with a lower friciton coefficient.

AXXIS to AEM
or
AXXIS to HAWK HP would be likewise comparisons.

EBC would compare best to maybe HAWK Blue 9012 SCCA Competition Pads

EDIT: What AXXIS pad did you got with? Metal Masters?

glad you ditched those crappy *** ebc's. I used to also have those. And they eat the *** out of your rotors. And mine would shake so bad coming to a stop. And when I tried getting them resurfaced, they told me they had severe runout on there. And had to shave alot off. I went with hawk pads, and couldnt be happier. Although I am going to try the Axxis pads though. I hear everyone loves them. It is the Ultimate pads though, correct?

I got the ultimates. EBC greens are comparable to Hawks, axxis, carbontech bobcats. All ceramic pads. ebc greens are supposed to be made for street use and some racing, so they aren't that much different from the axxis ultimates.

So you are saying EBC is pretty much Like axxis then? Screw getting them then, if they are the same, I dont want to end up fuking my rotors up again.

I think by comparable he just means in the same league - an "OEM Plus" category pad. I just threw on my Brembos and Axxis Ultimates, we'll see how it goes, so far as good.

usafstud will become famous soon enoughusafstud will become famous soon enough
i think everyone is confused

ebc green is the junk, only good for street
axxis master/deluxe is pretty much street pads also

ebc red stuff is the track pads
axxis ultimates are track pads(1000 degree F)

i have to say, i have just replaced my axxis ultimates again(3rd set).

my 1st set lasted about 3 month. 2nd set lasted 57 days.

i'm sure they last longer but i track my car at least twice a month with one autoX a month and daily drive the pads

I dont think any of us were confused, EBC Greens are too hard on any rotors, I had them on my brembo blanks and they killed the rotors. I had the worst shaking in my steering at any speed going to stop. When I took them in for resurfacing, there was so much runout on them, I just gave them back to brembo and they gave me a brand new pair for free.

Now you must have a heavy foot if you are going through pads in 60 days. Even if you autocross once a month, that shouldnt effect your pads that much. Or you might need to get new rotors if you have had your other ones for awhile. ****, I thought I went through pads fast.

I don't think it is the EBC greens in general, just on our cars. I know of other people with different cars who love the greens. It is just something about our cars that makes them suck. The greens, ultimates, HP+, bobcats, etc, we know aren't full out race pads, but they are a good compromise between street and race. You do a lot more racing than most of us USAFSTUD.
