I got a flat on one of my 17's and used the oem spare. The car pulled toward the side with the spare but it worked

The rim size means very little... the overall diamiter of the wheel/tire combo is whats important.

I think aslong as you do not use the spare for very long it should be fine... so replace it asap

Esentially, Remember that the spare is designed to work with the stock diamiter wheel/tire which for my EX is 24.49 inches... as long as your wheel/tire combo doesnt deveate from that too much then you shouldnt have a problem.

he is saying tire/wheel combo should combine to be the same size, IE. bigger rim = smaller tire, smaller rim = bigger tire, so if u put stock 15s w/ stock tires side by side against a 16/17 w/ smaller tires the height would be the same or VERY close..

so as long as the height is about the same, it shouldnt hurt anything because it should be the same height as stock, im not sure if width would change things or not, im assuming it doesnt..

Well based on what some people have said in this thread. You should be totally fine -just as long as you dont do a whole lot of driving on the spare

i would just use my stock 15" wheel for a spare, i'm running 18" rotas on Ground controls with Xenon kit, and if i were to use the oem spare, i think my kit would be on the ground, lol.

Just to be safe, I would put any spare on the back, if possible. Less things to worry about like mechanical damage, weird steering, ABS problems, etc. Could be a hassle along the side of the road though...
