there are alot of members here with 18's, and several members on here with 19's and none of them have any problems. Who ever keeps telling you that is bullshitting you.

i dunno know man, i need some more feedback. i didn't even know bent rims would even be an issue. i was more thinking about the suspension. i still like the idea of 18's though.

I rolled on 18's for over a year (215/35-18). I felt I had to constantly watch the road for potholes and roadway damage - more so than with a smaller wheel setup. I did manage to avoid damaging my wheels that way, but it really got old having to be on the defensive every minute. However, your biggest worry will probably be damage from curbs and the like. One lapse of concetration, and it's rash city. For the long haul, I'd recommend going with a smaller wheel.

.. i'm not really a big wheel fan, on the simple Though of "I dont like making a slow car slower".... Its to the point were I may sell my street 17s for another set of 15s.. ( I like how the 17s look, just not how they perform.)
I can confirm that. I'm now driving around on 15's and the difference in acceleration is remarkable. I'd say that this change gave me more performance increase than all the intake/exhaust/misc. mods combined.
