Rep Power: 0 Tire size ....whats the best for 17's
Need new rubber and wondering what is the best tire size to run on my 17's.
Right now i got 205/40/17, and most tire sites say i should be running 205/45/17.
Where i live there is a lot of bumps and potholes and i'm looking to get the best price for tires and one that are going to protect my rims. So i guess my question is...what the biggest 17 the can be ran on a 02 Civic DX?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Steve

Rep Power: 268 Actually im pretty sure that 215/45/17 is the closest to OEM but 205/45/17 is pretty close. Just dont get 40's worse ride, less protection for your rims, looks dumb IMHO

Rep Power: 278 i got 205/40/17 , looks okay i like them, but can feel bumps more than stock. next time i am gonna buy tires are gonna be 215/40/17, so i can have them little wider on the sidewalls, but other than that there great

Rep Power: 0 i got the 205/45/17's like what xam said, you can feel the bumps pretty well IMO, since i just started to mod my ride, but i noticed that sidewalls can handle the cornering if you like booking corners. But make sure you lower ur ride coz...the back gap is gonnna look wacked !
