Question about Brake Dust on Wheels?
I have stock hubcaps and I have Hawk HPS pads and I have noticed that on my passanger side hubcap, there is alot more dust than the drivers side hubcap, anyone know why? I checked the brakes about a week ago and both are wearing evenly, and both still have alot of pad in them, and the rotors are both looking the same. It isnt a big deal, just would like to know why this happens.

It could be lots of things... the way the holes in the steelies are oriented with respect to the hubcap spokes, the way the wind blows, who knows...
as long as they're even side to side, it doesn't matter. Mine make an equal dust storm on both sides... consider yourself lucky you only need to scrub one wheel.

Also why buy rebuilt calipers, when rebuilding them cost like $25 a caliper.
