Replacing my wheel stud...

Hey everyone, ok i need to replace one of my studs for my 01 civic, the studs you use to bolt your wheels onto the car, theres 4 of them, 1 of them broke in half so i need to replace it, i would get it done professionally but they want $70-100 just to put on this $1.50 stud. So can someone kinda walk me through it and help me out? Thanks.

unless you have the tools and knowledge, let a shop do it because if it is in the front, you have to remove the hub assembly that is why it is so expensive. Most older cars you could just knock the bolt out, but now in order for us to do that it gets complicated.

its easy as f.cuk

take off rear wheel...

make sure ebrak is not on

pry off the hub(nothing holds it on.. it shoiuld come right off

hammer out ur broken one...

stick new one in from back (make sure its 12x1.5)

stick like 10 washers on it... and put a lug on... put a tool thru one of the holes to keep it still and tighten the lug all the way (it'l pull the stud thru the backing plate)

then put hub back on... and done.
