what size rims and tires would look good without having to drop the car?

17" with 215/45/R17 will do just fine...

between 15"-17" would be ok. If you go more than that, you have a smaller sidewall tire on a non-dropped vic. But, the choice is yours.

I'd say go with 15s also.

I'm so glad I got mine considering the state of all the roads around here.
