I found out my 17" rims weigh 22.5lbs each, without the tire... how bad is this hurting my performance? How much of an increase would you have switching to a 12-13 pound 15" rim?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Rep Power: 0 22.5lbs for a 17" rim - that is SERIOUSLY heavy. I think you'd notice an increase in performance going from 22.5lb 17"s down to 12-13lb 15". Especially your braking performance, dealing with with the excess rotating mass. Another option - Rota SubZeros. I have a set of 17"s and they only weigh 16.5lbs. That's actually lighter than my stock 15" aluminium rims...

Rep Power: 0 I was just looking at Velox PG-Rev10's... they're like 11.5lbs or something for 17's... HALF the weight of my rims... what kind of performance increase would you see going from 22.5lb rims to 11.5lb rims? braking? 1/4 mile? General acceleration?
