suggestions on light 15x7's
I need ideas on a black or silver 15"x7 rim preferably forged. Looks are not really important as long as they are not Butt Ugly. I want to be able to use them for drag racing and also pull double duty for auto-X.
Ideas and pics/links would be nice. Gimme some tire suggestions also.

Volk CE28N, TE37
Ray's Gramlights 57C
Advan RG
Any Rota available in 15x7
Speedmaster SM058
Enkei RP-F1
Team Dynamics Pro Race 1
OZ Superleggeras
BBS RG-F
2 notes... if you're racing, you're gonna trash them, if you don't, changing tires on them will. Unless you have a big budget, you don't need or want uber-bling wheels to race.
The other is SSR wheels suck. Regardless of what anyone tells you, they suck. They're weak as hell and they bend and flex out of round. The spun rim comes out too thin and they're just not strong enough to take the punishment. There have been times where Realtime Racing (who runs RSXs, ITRs, and TSXs) haven't even made it through a weekend with the rims they started with... even the drivers say they'd prefer something else (mainly Mugen wheels) if it weren't for the sponsorship.

Rota made a Sipstream in 15X7 that weighed 12.8 LBS, its not forged but its still pretty light, and cheep. about $125 per wheel. then theres the Kosei K1 in 15X7 wich is also popular, once again its not forged but it still weighs just 13.5 and the Kosei K1 TS wich weighes 10.6 LBS
Like I said these are not forged but they are still light and Strong.

To quote my Co-driver "I'd rather run a heavy 15X7 then a light 15X6.5" and I believe him, the added contact patch on the tire is worth the loss in accleration. (This is especially noticable with the Falken Azenis, wich loves to be mounted on a wide wheel)

Check out the Kosei K1 TS, according to the tire rack its a 15X7 that weighs 10.6LBS (2 lbs lighter the the 15X7 Slipstream) and costs aobut $150 Each. (the slipstreams will run about 125-130) its a good looking wheel too..

I have priced the 5x7 slipstreams at 475 for a set out the door.
Tireracks website is pissing me off. how do you get the kosei rims to come up in 15x7 4x100
It will only let me search by vehicle. I'll spend the extra cash for the 2 pounds. Can someone link the acual page so I can get these. Joined: Jul 2002

I have 1 beef with those Koseis having seen them all in person. The finish on them sucks monkey *****. Especially the orange ones. Its painted, and all 3 colors of the display models just looked rough and uneven. Part of it was the paint, part of it was the surface finish of the casting underneath... it looks like Kosei could have given it a couple minutes in an electropolish tank and would have been set. Not a bad deal, but if it was me, I'd buy them, then instantly be at the powdercoater with them.

I didn't think it was going to be this hard to decide.

Yeah, just giving you a heads up. Its definately a race wheel... with a race finish. Just making sure you knew what you were getting. On the other hand... the Kosei K1 (the single 6 spokes), look MUCH better. I don't know if they discontinued them or not.
can somebody please give me a "review" on Enkei RP02-J?
i've been asking the same question in few different threads, till now....now replies...no opinion..
can somebody help me? i'm lookin for buying them.....but why are there no comments about it? please help me?

I bought a set of used K1's. look over at honda-tech or ebay for 15x7's.
And zen master. I don't know of anyone who has them. search the members rides or profiles for someone who does. the enkeis are nice and light but they also have very thin spokes. I wouldn't use them for racing.

I was thinking rota slipstreams since they are so cheap and light. I think they only come in 15* 6.5 I think 16's are 7 width.

I just ordered the Kosei k1 ts 15x7 in light grey from tire rack... They wont be in till mid july... but it will be worth the wait. Something different and light as all hell.
Too bad they don't sell Falken tires.
I'm looking to get azien sport rt 215-50-15 after searching and reading other recomendations.
Should be an awsome set up.
