Opinions on gunmetal rims

This weekend I plan on ordering rims. I want 17" gunmetal rims with a silver lip. I'm likin the Velox VX-8s but they seem to be a little played out. However, they are my #1 choice as of right now. Need some opinions people! thanx!

Gunmetal is so played out its not funny. Anytime something goes to a factory available thing, its time to change. Get green ones or something.

Yeah get the 1st ones. I haven't seen those before. The second ones I've seen on this site a bagillion times! Whatever you do, don't get Tenzo R Passion 5 in Gunmetal, man everybody has them!

I never liked gunmetal - I live in an area where most people keep their rides stock but gunmetal is still prominent - even on the factory rides. If you like it though - go ahead - looks good regardless!

I could care less if someone thinks its played out than get a more drastic color just to be different. I believe you should get the color that blends to you car very well.

If you should define played out as "everyone in the neighborhood has them," well then too bad, your Civic is played out as well.

Everyone has Silver rims, and black rims, which color isnt played out? GREEN? YELLOW? ORANGE? PURPLE? Wow, those are very nice to have just not to get classified as being played out, good for you!!!! But getting a color thats so different even if it doesnt blend with the car, is not just me.

got played?!

IMHO <--- played out as well.

Plus, you can leave those people with GM rims wondering why your car with GM rims looks so good and better than theirs.

Pretty much each rim design will eventually be played out. Get whatever you like to have on your car. I also have some 17x7 subzero which are gunmetal with polish lip. I like it on my car. Everyone has a choice in their rims. Or you can pretty much go and pay a company to make you a one of a kind rim that no one will ever have.
