Polishing SI's.......

If I were to take my SI rims to be polished professionally, do they take out scratches while being polished? I was told by some people yes, and others laughed in my face for asking a "stupid question". Thanx.

Well polishing is material removal, so the surface scratches do come out because the wheel just takes the material around them off. If there's deep gashes, you'll still see them.
