Question Shocks or Camber?

I had a flat the other day so I took my tire in to be patched (caused by a nail, direct center of tread). The tire turned out to be no good now, since the inside was shredded. Anyway, the guy at the tire place shows me the wear on my tire, which I was already aware of, and tells me "it's your struts". The wear is on one side, and it looks to me like it's caused by the camber being off. But is he right? Maybe it is my shocks? It doesn't make sense to me, but he's the mechanic not me. Should I buy new shocks or a camber kit w/ alignment? I searched already.

as mentioned above a camber kit will help if the car is lowered. You might want to make sure the tires are also inflated properly as well. Same with your alignment gotta check that too.
