what to do for braking?

I want to upgrade my brakes. In my possession I have an AEM big brake kit which has only the big rotors. I paid 300$ for that. Should I keep this and buy new brake pads (aem?) or should I return it to the guy and buy brembo regular rotors (brembo blanks?) instead. Are brembo blanks better performers than big rotors? Also what kinda brake pads are the best for our car. Keep in mind I have stock calipers. It's gonna be either AEM big rotors+new pads or brembo blanks+new pads. Thanks

as far as what you should do, it depends o what kind of braking you want.

The big kit will always be better braking if they are made properly, but there's no point in getting bigger rotors if your not going to replace yiur caliper and pads. The reason why it works better is because more contact with the rotor therefore you have better stopping power.

Getting slotted/drilled rotors will also help because they won't heat up as much, to me, if your worried about peformance go for the big brake kit, somewhere around 1200 or something like that. If your just going to show, just get a well built drilled and slotted, remeber, when messing with your brakes, your messing with your life.

*sorry for all the spellin an ****, I smoked a little ee to much.

The only thing big brake rotors give you is Higher Thermal capacity, So if you arnt overheating your brakes now then it was a waste of $$$.

Quick tip from an autocrosser. Run the blanks or Slotted, Avoid Drilled rotors. Then get a set of High temp pads

any of these will do:
Porterfield R4-S 1100F ( I run these front and rear Pad/shoe)
EBC greenstuff 1022 F
EBC Redstuff 1380
Hawk HP+ 800F
Axxis Ultimate 1000F

Then Get your self some good sticky tires, because you can only stop as fast as your tires will let you after all (No mater how good your brakes are)
