what would be needed to fit these any kind of tires this wide,
offset, neg camber, lowering?

Yea I was wondering that too...I was thinking of purchasing rims that has offset of 43-45 and would 225 be too much and rub?

That would be a very tight fit, other members have fit 225/40-18's but getting the proper offset is crucial. I think it would work IF you had an off set in the neighborhood of +37-+40, but with that offset you cant lower your car very much, maybe an inch at the most, because the edge of the wheel and tire will be just about even with the outside of the fender causing you to rub.

I would just stay with a 215/45-17 and save yourself some problems, its not really that big of a difference in width.

My car seems very light on the steering with Yokohama 215/45ZR/17 87w tires, so I quess 18 inch tires would be very unstable with an OEM car.
