Where can I buy chrome or silver rotors that avoid rusting and brake dust for rear and front? I prefer the big rotor look over the stock rotor. Where can i purchase some for my 2001 lx. And does anybody know the difference between the two and how it effects the car? ride quality? price range? etc.

you can't get chrome rotors , because the brake pads will sand down the chrome, you should just get some regular rotors such as brembo slotted rotors. the problem with the brake dust comes from the brake pads, so try to find some brake pads that don't give off alot of dust. or you could just clean your car more. it wont really afffect your ride quality other than better braking... and the price is usually 150 or so for some stock sized rotors, if you want big brakes. the prices range from wilwoods 4 piston kit at 600 bucks to brembos big brake kit at 2,300 bucks.
and of course i have to post this because there is a post at the top of this thread that talks all about it.

So if i buy lets say 4 wilwood rotors large size, i can't just paint the calipers and put them on these new rotors? Im just looking to buy the rotors not the entire brake set. I thought somebody would probably make a rotor specifically for avoiding rust and not racing, i didn't know that the brake dust came from the brake pad. THe main reason for large rotors is basically the look.

well i suggest to get slotted and drilled rotors for the look. they can look nice for the look. but if you want bigger rotor, AEM just sells the rotor with the stock caliper relocation. but they are black. and eventually the black will go away and turn silver. the only real way to prevent the rust spots is to drive your car for the rust spots to go away from the pads rubbing against the discs...

Your best bet would be to buy the AEM Big Rotor Kit with the caliper relocator. I have those on my car and I'm very happy with how the rotors don't rust like stock. The kit comes with slots in the rotors and has a carbon black hat. If you like, I have a set that's brand new that I'm trying to sell for 190.00 Let me know if you're interested.

Check with Dezod. He has some good package deals (rotors & pads) for the Pro Slot rotors....sounds like what you are looking for. I got them with Hawk pads...they look great.
