Basically any Non organic pad would be a great improvement. (Yes stock pads are an organic composit) Going with a Ceramic pad like AEM(Nissin) would be good or any Ceramic pad for that matter. if you have a little more $$ a carbon Kevlar pad would be good, EBC Hawk and Porterfield are all good brands. Carbon Metalic pads are good to but tend to be noisy.

Then don't get a carbon Kevlar pad (AEM, Hawk, Porterfield). go with a Ceramic, they are quiet make very little brake dust (its also a light colored brake dust) and cost less. Carbon Kevlar and Carbon Metalic pads are top end performanc pads, and you will get a bit of noise, brake dust and squeals.

"AEM High Performance Brake Pads are specifically engineered for high-performance braking. These pads are manufactured in conjunction with O.E. Japanese brake manufacturer Nissin, and utilize a unique ceramic-Kevlar fiber compound to provide a higher coefficient of friction that resists fading and reduces stopping distances."

So AEM (Nissin) pads are Ceramic Kevlar and EBC, Hawk and porterfield are Carbon Kevlar.
Just curious but what is the heat rage that the AEM pads are good for?
EBC greenstuff can handle up to 550º C (1022 F)
EBC Redstuff can handle 748º C (1380 F)
Hawk makes compounds that can handle any where from 900 F to 1600 F (thier High performance street pads run in the 100-800 Deg F)
and porterfield R4 compound can handle 1600 F and the R4-S Some what less (Not sure)
