Help Guys Adding Ebc Green Stuff Brake Pads????

alright guys here's my dilemma. Due to the harsh winter and the fact that i have racked up 21,500 miles on my HOnda Civic DX 2001 my tires are finally beginning to show there wear and tear. Last night i slid on a patch of dry ice and cracked my hug cap in two , yeah it really sucked but it also helped me to finally decide to put my new wheels and tires on my car. I have a set of ff5 motegi racing wheels 17 inch and a set of nitto neo gen tires 205/40/17 i also purchased a set of rear brembo drums and a pair of front disc cross drilled and slotted. I know my writing in english isn't the best but please bare with me, my question is I was planning on purchasing a set of green stuff brake pads and wanted to know were they a good brand????? also would i only need a set of pads for the front since the car is front wheel drive?????? the set of brake pads cost about 53 bucks is that to much?????? i know i dont want to purchase auto zone pads they wear down to fast, well thanks guys any help would greatly be appreciated.

Ok, first of all, you didn't slide into the curb because the brakes are bad, you did it because you hit ice. New brakes won't fix that... new, harsher brakes will probably make it worse since they'll grab faster and harder. Putting NeoGen tires on in the snow is pretty dumb too since they're summer tires and getting any snow or ice in the tread is going to render them useless. If all you did was crack a hubby, drive ghetto until the snow clears then change everything.
I personally don't care for GreenShit pads because they make more noise than they have bite, but they're not bad pads. I'm with Neon, I'm going straight for Porterfields.

yah boiler said it. just the fact that you slid on ice and messed up your stock wheels is reason enough to just hold off till spring. why put on your performance tires when your stock ones are already gettin you into trouble. your neogens are NOT winter performance tires. and don't even think about the ice. my opinion...deal with the stocks till spring. you'll be much happier and a little bit richer after not having to buy a new set of wheels cuz you slid out and wrecked.

EBC are the shiznit. I got some of their rotors and greenstuff pads and I stop quicker then anything. The do make a lot of noise but its not irritating squeeling or typical brake noise, but the sound really cool when you hit em.
