Brake and related problem?
Hi all,
I need some of your guys eperience and advice. Whenever I step on the brake, I can feel there are something scratching through the brake pedal (80% of the time). Once in a while, I can feel and hear there are grumbling sound and brake seem like skipping when I press on the brake pedal, it will get especially loud when I apply my brake on the hill. It started only a few times in each ride (20-30 minutes) a month ago but now it is getting more prominent. Recently I notice when I am going forward (without the brake pedal), I can feel there is something scratching through my gas pedal. A few time, I tried not to press on the gas pedal, but I can still feel it and hear it. It is similar to driving on a rough road but actually I was driving on a regular smooth paved road. I have bought back to honda, the service technican said the brake pad may have been overheated (brake pad got hard) but not worn though (30% left), so he recommended me to change the brake pad (include service of the front brake) and also machine rotors. Now I like to know if both of the events (braking and goinng forward) are because of the brakes and if it is, do I need to do both, or just change the brake pad will solve the problem ($150CDN cheaper). I am planning to go back to dealership in the next few days, so I want to know what I really should do. Thanks for all your guys input!
