Painted Hubcaps?

I was thinking and I've taken my hubcaps off before and rode blackwalled, but it looks pretty ghetto like that. But what if I was to paint my hubcaps black, would that look very good do you think? I love the black wheel look on my sedan and just cant afford the rims I want at this point. Any opinions would be helpful, thanx.

A red civic here has darkened hubcaps. They're not completely black and look nice.

I painted mine black to help me decide if I really wanted to invest in black rims. I don't think its a look you'll want to keep for very long. After the first week, they start really looking like what the are - painted hub caps. I did end up buying black rims - it's a great look.

o couple of guys here got paintbed black helps as well as gunmetal to on SSM civics and i think it looks like ****! I got a RR civic and i'm on stock steelies right now no hubs and i kinda like it that's why i put my rims in the shop to have them powder coated a Glossy Black!
