si rimss questions

alright i have the si rims and they are on the stock tires..now i kno nothing about tires and sizes..i went to school the other daya nd i say the si with the same rims as me but with much bigger tires width wise i mean like more than half a tire more? but there doesnt seem like you can geta bigger width because there no more rim to put it on? do u think can get a diff profile tire like more width on my si rims if so wut size would it be and wut size are the si rims tire now? thanx for any info you can give me

I have the same rims. I plan on getting 205/55/15 for them.

ya, 205/55/15 is the best tire size for the si rim.

well i 205/55-15 nitto's and they measure about 8 1/2 inches wide according to my ruler-they feel much nicer than the stock fire stone tires

Isn't 205/60-15 the best size for Si wheels? They are less than 1% off from the stock size, speedometer-wise, while 205/55-15s are 2.25% off. I would want to stick with the closest size to stock, even if the sidewall is a little thicker.

to tell you the truth with the 205/55 my spedo is off by less than 4mph (4 mph fast)

actually its a %. Like my 205/50-15s are about 5% off. So when my spedo says Im going 100 I'm really only going 95. where as if the spedo say Im going 65 I'm really going 61.75mph.
